The Chief Personnel Officer, Eastern Railway, appears to have passed a speaking order on July 31, 2020 in terms of the order passed by the Central Administrative Tribunal in CPC/350/00110/2015 arising out of Original Application No. 32 of 2015. This order, in our view, cannot be challenged directly before us.

The petitioners are amongst the seventeen (17) left out candidates, whose cases were not considered for engagement in railway services since they were found unsuitable in the screening process.

The writ petition, accordingly, stands dismissed as not maintainable at this stage.

However, this order shall not prevent the writ petitioners from taking appropriate steps in accordance with law in challenging the order dated July 31, 2020, if so advised, before the appropriate forum within a period of two months from date. In the event, any application is filed within the time limit, as above, challenging the said order dated July 31, 2020, the tribunal shall treat the application as filed within time and dispose

of the same in accordance with law without insisting any application for condonation of delay.

Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, will be made available to the applicant within a week from the date of putting in the requisites.
