Petitioner Mr. Dipankar Mondal .....For the Petitioner Mr. Madhu Sudan Sur, APP Mr. Manoranjan Mahata.....for the State This is an application for expeditious hearing of N.D.P.S case no. 136 of 2020 under Sections 21(C)/29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, pending before the Court of the learned Judge, Special Court cum Additional Sessions Judge, 5th Court, Berhampore, Murshidabad. It has been submitted by the learned advocate for the petitioner that the date for evidence has been fixed but out of 9 witnesses, none has been examined so far.

In the pandemic situation, it is not expected that the learned Judge in the Court below shall proceed with the trial at the usual pace.

In that view of the matter, the revisional application is disposed of with a direction upon the learned Sessions Judge to dispose of the case without granting any unnecessary adjournment to the parties.
