Petitioner complains that they have been forcefully evicted by the police authorities. However, the tenor of the writ petition reflects that the police authorities acted pursuant to the directions passed by the Municipal Authorities. There is a subject matter relating to renewal of licence.

Mr. Dey, learned advocate appears on behalf of the State.

Having considered the nature of the accusations, I am of the view that until and unless the licence is renewed, the petitioner as of right cannot claim remedy under the law.

Since the police authorities acted pursuant to directions of the Administrative Authorities, I am of the opinion that the act of the police authorities were in consonance with the provisions of law, as such no interference is called for.

With the aforesaid observations WPA 12831 of 2024 is disposed of.
