(S. Banerjee) Ms. Bratati Dutta ... for the petitioner Records reflect that in connection with complaint Case No. 380C/2014, pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate 4th Court, Bankura, warrant of arrest has been issued against the present petitioner namely, Tapan Kumar Dey.

Having regard to the stage which is fixed for defence evidence, I direct that in case the petitioner surrenders before the learned Judicial Magistrate 4th Court, Bankura by 31st May, 2024, he may be allowed to continue on the same bail and bond and the warrant of arrest so issued be recalled. However, if the petitioner do not surrender within the scheduled date, the learned Magistrate would on the next working day issue harsher process of law adhering to Section 82 Cr.P.C.

Having regard to the fag end of the trial, I direct the learned Magistrate to complete the defence evidence by 15th July, 2024 by fixing one date in a fortnight and,

thereafter, take steps for pronouncing the verdict by 14th August, 2024.

With the aforesaid observation, CRR 1871 of 2024 is disposed of.
