1. Heard the submissions of learned advocates for the parties.

2. The prayer for bail has been made on the ground of inordinate delay in conclusion of trial. The petitioner is in custody for four years one month and trial has not yet started.

3. On perusal of the order passed by a Coordinate Bench, it appears that in February, 2026, prayer for bail was turned down and at that stage only two Investigating Officers were to be examined. However, till date no further progress is made.

4. Considering the seriousness of the accusation and that the trial has proceeded and is on the verge of conclusion,

grant of bail at this stage may further delay the proceeding.

5. Therefore, considering the entire facts and circumstances, this Court is not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail, at this stage, only on the ground of delay in conclusion of trial.

6. The prayer for bail stands rejected.
