Petitioner Mr. Angshuman Chakraborty Mr. Shashanka Shekhar Saha ... ... for the petitioner Mr. Rajesh Kumar Shah ... ... for the State Learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner along with others were implicated for alleged recovery of 50 bottles of wincorex cough syrup and the petitioner is in custody since 05.10.2025. Charge sheet has already been submitted but till date charges have not been framed.

Learned Advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail. I have taken into account the fact that prosecution intends to examine thirteen witnesses in support of its case which will consume some more time and the petitioner is already in custody for about eight months. Having regard to the same, I am inclined to release the petitioner on bail. As such, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is allowed.

Accordingly, the petitioner viz., Riyajuddin Mondal, shall be released on bail upon furnishing bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty thousand only), with two sureties of Rs. 10,000/- each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the learned Judge, Special Court under the NDPS Act, 8th Court, Barasat, North 24-Parganas.

If on bail, the petitioner shall be physically present on each and every date so fixed by the learned Special Court and shall not leave the jurisdiction of the district of North 24-Parganas without prior permission of the learned Special Court.

The application for bail, being CRM (NDPS) 1144 of 2026, is, thus, disposed of.
