Affidavit of service as filed in Court today is taken on record.

Being aggrieved by the notice dated 2nd April, 2026, which is a demolition procedure initiated by the respondents, Kolkata Municipal Corporation, the instant writ petition has been filed.

The petitioner claims that she is an occupant of the premises and has not been served. The petitioner submits that she got knowledge of the said notice as the same has been pasted on the wall of the premises. 4.

Learned counsel for the Kolkata Municipal Corporation submits that pasting of copy of the notice on the wall of the premises is a notice to all persons concerned.

Upon hearing the parties, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the respondents Kolkata Municipal Corporation to hear all the occupants of the

WPA 12101 of 2026 premises along with the owner, if any, in the demolition proceedings.

Accordingly, the petitioner, an occupant as also the owner shall appear before the authorities on the date of hearing as fixed by the Kolkata Municipal Corporation with appropriate documents in support of their case and the respondent/Kolkata Municipal Corporation shall then proceed in accordance with law.

The parties shall act on the basis of the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
