Mr. Indranil Halder ..for the petitioner Ms. Sumouli Sarkar ..for CESC Limited Learned advocate representing the petitioner submits that during pendency of the writ petition, an inspection was conducted. Consequently, a bill was raised for effecting electricity connection to the petitioner. The petitioner has also deposited the quoted amount. Learned advocate representing CESC Limited submits that subject to compliance with all formalities by the petitioner, the electricity connection will be effected through a loop meter.

In light of the above, there is no justification to keep this writ petition pending.

Calcutta Electricity Supply Corporation (CESC) Limited is directed to effect electricity connection at the premises of the petitioner within a period of two weeks from date, subject to compliance with necessary formalities by the petitioner.

Accordingly, WPA 11707 of 2025 is disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocates for the parties on usual undertakings.
