2. The writ petition has been preferred praying for a direction upon the respondents to register an FIR.

3. Considering the prayer made in the writ petition, the writ is not maintainable as there is a specific provision of law which permits the petitioners to file a complaint before the police/jurisdictional magistrate.

4. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with liberty granted to the petitioner to approach the appropriate forum in accordance with law.
