1. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the alleged collection of Rs.50/- per bus was neither clandestine nor unauthorised in nature. The instant complaint is nothing but a well-planned retaliatory and vindictive attempt to wreak vengeance upon the petitioner by abusing the criminal machinery of the State. He further submits that the order of the trial court reflects that there exists case and counter-case between the parties and, therefore, the petitioner, who is innocent, may be granted bail on any terms and conditions.

2. Learned counsel appearing for the State opposes the prayer for bail, contending that the petitioner was

arrested only on 16/05/2026 and during investigation sufficient incriminating materials have been collected against the petitioner. Furthermore, the money collected by way of extortion have been transferred to different accounts which also needs to be investigated.

3. Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and also considering the materials so far available in the case diary against the present petitioner and that the investigation is at early stage the prayer for bail is rejected.

4. CRM(M) 1328 of 2026 is disposed of.

5. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
