The petitioner is an Assistant Teacher of the subject "History (Pass)" at Sainthia Rastra Bhasa High School, District-Birbhum, he applied for general transfer through 'Utsashree Portal' on the grounds that the distance between his residence and the school is more than 169 kilometres, as such he is unable to look after his aged ailing father, his such application was rejected from the end of the concerned District Inspector of Schools on the ground that the petitioner is the single teacher of the subject in the said school. Mr. Ujjal Ray, learned advocate for the petitioner strenuously argues that the ground of rejection is not sustainable. Be that as it may, the 'Utsashree Portal' is now under suspension, therefore, the prayer of the petitioner for general transfer cannot be considered at this stage.

W.P.A. 11222 of 2022 is therefore dismissed without any order as to costs.
