Petitioner prays for anticipatory bail.

Leave granted to the learned Advocate-on-record for the petitioner to correct the cause-title.

There are materials in the case diary including the statements recorded under Section 161 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of eye-witnesses implicating the petitioner in the incident of assault on police personnel.

Eight police personnel were injured. A vehicle belonging to the police was burnt.

Considering the gravity of the offence and the involvement of the petitioner in the incident, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.

C.R.M. (A) 2044 of 2023 is dismissed.
