Although it appears from the letter of Sarojini Naidu College for Women that there were two vacancies as on 2nd February, 2018 i.e. prior to the publication of the merit panel of the selection test, the petitioner has applied under the OBC-B category against which there was no vacancy in the said College as would appear from the communication dated 31st August, 2024.

In these facts and circumstances, we do not find any reason to interfere with the order passed by the learned Single Judge.

In view thereof, the appeal and the application are accordingly, dismissed. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
