Liberty is given to the learned Advocate-on-record of the petitioner to correct the cause title of the petition. Petitioner submits he has qualified in the Teacher Eligibility Test, 2022. On such score, he prays for bail. Learned Advocate for the State opposes the bail prayer.

We have considered the materials on record.

Statements of witnesses and contemporaneous document i.e. seizure memorandum show recovery of narcotics above commercial quantity from the petitioner and co-accused. Bail prayer of co-accused was rejected on merits earlier. Pendency of the criminal case renders his possibility of public employment bleak.

In view of the aforesaid circumstances and gravity of the accusation levelled against the petitioner, we do not consider it prudent to release him on bail.

Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.
