This is an application under Article 226 of the Constitution of India wherein the petitioner is aggrieved in relation to inaction of the District Inspector of Schools (S.E.), Paschim Medinipur, (in short 'D.I. of Schools'), being respondent no.3 herein. It is the case of the writ petitioner that he was appointed by letter dated January 9, 2016 and he joined the said school on January 22, 2016. Thereafter on March 24, 2016 the school authorities submitted his papers to the D.I. of Schools for approval of the said appointment. Counsel on behalf of the petitioner submits that till date no approval has been forthcoming from the D.I. of Schools and the same may be immediately looked into by the D.I. of Schools.

I have heard the learned Counsel on behalf of the appearing parties and perused the materials on record. In view of the above, I direct the D.I. of Schools to forthwith look into the approval of the writ petitioner and pass a reasoned order within a period of eight weeks from date. It is made clear that if all the conditions are fulfilled by the writ petitioner, the D.I. of Schools shall grant approval in accordance with law.

I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the case.

With the above observation, this writ petition is disposed of, however, without any order as to costs. Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be furnished after compliance of all necessary formalities. (Shekhar B. Saraf, J.)
