2. Mr. Sandipan Banerjee enters appearance on behalf of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation. Let his appearance be regularized.

3. The writ petition has been preferred challenging the stop work notice dated 17th January, 2024.

4. On hearing the parties, the instant writ petition is disposed with the observation that as the notice challenged is only a stop work notice, the respondent authority shall not proceed for any demolition work without conducting a proper proceeding.

5. An opportunity of hearing shall be given to the petitioner with a prior notice.

6. The writ petition stands disposed of.

7. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
