Ruby Gupta (Bhattacharjee) v. State Of West Bengal And ORS.
W.P.A. 11785 of 2025 Ruby Gupta (Bhattacharjee).
VS The State of West Bengal & Ors.
Mr. Kalyan Kumar Chakraborty, Mr. Gopal Krishna Sarkar.
... for the Petitioner.
Mr. Mukti Chandra Ghosh, Ms. Paromita Pal.
...for State.
Affidavit-of-service filed by the petitioner be kept 23.06.2025 Court No. 35 Item No.56 Rakib with the record.
Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that the private respondents have sold out the property and are also enjoying the property by installing electric tower. Petitioner is further aggrieved that the private respondent has been threatening her and to that effect information so furnished to the local police station, did not yield any result.
Learned advocate appearing for the State has submitted a report. Report reflects that so far as the Office of the SDL & LRO (EP-1), Paschim Bardhaman is concerned there were plot no. 6634 and 6659. Petitioner had a portion of land, as also the private respondent no.8. However, that cannot be a subject matter of concern of the police authorities.
Police authorities would ensure that the present petitioner under no circumstances is faced with inconveniences to the extent that she feels insecured at
the act and actions of the private respondent no.8. To that effect, if the petitioner applies to the concerned police station and makes a representation specifying the date and time in respect of which there has been interference with her life and liberty, in such circumstances the police authorities would take steps in accordance with law. In the meantime, police authorities would keep a strict vigil and ensure that no untoward incidents results because of the strained relationship existing between the parties. With the aforesaid observations WPA 11785 of 2025 is disposed of.
Report so submitted by the State be kept with the record.
Copy of the report be handed over to learned advocate appearing for the petitioner.
