The Officer-in-Charge, Alipore Police Station is personally present in Court and has filed a report dated 1st February, 2023 and the same is taken on record. It appears from the report that in respect of the petitioner's complaint of forgery, Alipore Police Station Case No.113 dated 02.10.2019 has been registered. Investigation has been completed and Charge Sheet No.08/22 dated 31.01.2022 has been filed under Sections 419, 420, 423, 465, 471 of the IPC. All the accused persons are still absconding.

It is submitted by the Officer-in-Charge, Alipore Police Station that warrant has been applied for before the Magistrate.

It is expected that the warrant is issued immediately and urgent and expeditious steps shall be taken to compel the accused to participate in the proceedings. In the event warrant cannot be executed, steps for attachment and proclamation shall be taken immediately. It is expected that the charge sheet is put to

committal against the available accused as expeditiously as possible.

The personal presence of the Officer-in-Charge, Alipore Police Station is dispensed with.

With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
