The petitioner has modified his prayer in the present revisional application and presently he has prayed for expediting the progress of Raghunathganj Police Station Case No.
of dated 16.11.2023 under Sections 302/201/34 of the Indian Penal Code which is pending before the learned Additional Sessions Judge, 1st Fast Track Court, Jangipur, Murshidabad.
Records reflect that there are 16 witnesses to be examined and till date, none of the witnesses has been examined. It is informed that next date has been fixed in the month of June 2024. Having regard to the fact that the case was instituted in the year 2023 and the alleged heinousness of the offence involved, I direct the learned trial court to fix a schedule consisting of three dates and fix such schedule once in every sixty days so that trial of the case can be taken to its
logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time. No unnecessary adjournment be granted to either of the parties. All stakeholders should cooperate with the learned trial court to conclude the trial at the earliest.
The trial of the case would continue in spite of any resolution of the local Bar and the participating advocates will not stall the proceedings in any manner whatsoever. With the aforesaid observations, the revisional application being CRR 1890 of 2024 is disposed of. Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.
All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
