Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for 4 years 2 months and till date the prosecution evidence has not been completed. On the other hand, learned advocate appearing for the State submits that the evidence of the last witness is in progress specifically it has been pointed out that the cross-examination of the said witness is in progress.

Having considered the advanced stage of the case, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail. Accordingly, CRM(M)1362 of 2026 is dismissed. Learned trial court would put in efforts so that the final outcome is pronounced within a reasonable period of time.
