On behalf of the State a comprehensive report dated 16.07.2025 has been submitted by Mr.

Ganguli, learned AGP appearing for the State enclosing the notices issued as well as the examination of the persons who have been deprived because of the illegal act and action of the accused. The case being Bishnupur Police Station Case No. 178 of 2025 dated 04.07.2025 has been registered for investigation under Sections 406/409/420/34 of the Indian Penal Code. The said report reflects that in connection with the contentions raised by the petitioners, namely Sourav Saha, Partha Sarathi Saha, Parijat Chakraborty, Gopal Saha, Susanta Saha and Nitai Saha, the statements have been recorded and the police authorities are proceeding with the investigation of the said case. Primarily, the accusations are with regard to a police constable who has received money for providing job.

So far as the issue relating to acceptance of illegal money for an illegal purpose is concerned,

the investigating authorities are aware and are proceeding with the case. The statements of the witnesses who have been deprived have been recorded and the investigation is at the very nascent stage while it is progressing. Having regard to the steps which have been taken, at this stage, I do not find any scope for further interference as the preliminary grievance for which the petitioners approached this Court has been addressed. If the petitioners are aggrieved by the manner in which the investigation is progressing at a subsequent stage of the investigation, they may approach before this Court after a period of three months from the date of registration of the FIR.

A copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate appearing for the petitioners in all the writ petitions.

All the reports submitted by the respective advocate appearing for the State be also kept with the record.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petitions being WPA 10985 of 2025, WPA 11027 of 2025, WPA 11817 of 2025, WPA 11824 of 2025, WPA 11827 of 2025 and WPA 11831 of 2025 are disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
