The Superintendent of Police, Paschim Medinipur has filed a report dated 05.06.2023, which is taken on record.

The SP has found lapses on the part of the Investigating Officer and has instituted departmental proceedings.

The Circle Inspector and the SDPO have been given special charge to monitor the said investigation.

This Court is satisfied with the report of the SP. In so far as the progress of investigation is concerned, the husband and the father-in-law of the petitioner have been arrested. The mother-in-law and the sister-in-law are still untraceable since they are not using mobile phones. Efforts are on to trace them out.

It is ordered that the investigation is expedited and completed mandatorily and positively within a period of 2 months from date.

Let a copy of the FIR be made available to the counsel for the petitioner by the Investigating Officer.

With the aforesaid observations, the instant writ petition shall stand disposed of.

8.

There shall be no order as to costs.

9.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
