The petitioner is a retired employee of the Kolkata Municipal Corporation. He seeks consideration of the representation filed before the Corporation in April 2023. The petitioner intends to obtain the breakup of the payment made and the manner in which the dues of the petitioner have been calculated.
It has been alleged that the terminal benefits especially the pension is not being paid on regular basis. It was irregular earlier but after filing of the writ petition the same has been regularized to some extent. Without entering into the merit of the claim of the petitioner, as it appears that the representation of the petitioner is pending consideration before the Kolkata Municipal Corporation, accordingly, the Court directs the Chief Manager, Service Records & Accounts Cell, KMC to consider the representation filed by the petitioner in accordance with law after giving reasonable opportunity of hearing for production of necessary documents by the petitioner, at the earliest but
positively within a period of ten weeks from the date of communication of this order.
reasoned order shall be passed and communicated to the petitioner immediately thereafter. Learned advocate for the petitioner is directed to forward a copy of the legal notice dated April 9, 2023 along with all documents in support of his claim to the aforesaid respondent at the time of communicating the order of the Court.
The writ petition stands disposed of.
