1. De facto complainant is a temporary home guard engaged by the police. He was assaulted by the petitioners herein.

2. Apparently, the de facto complainant was engaged for the purpose of managing the traffic in front of a university campus. While on duty, he was assaulted by the petitioners.

3. De facto complainant as also other eye-witnesses recorded statements which show that the petitioners were involved in passing lewd comments against the ladies of the university. De facto complainant protested against such activities whereupon the incident of assault took place.

4. Enlarging the petitioners on anticipatory bail will send a wrong signal to the society.

5. In such circumstances, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioners.

6. Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioners is rejected.
