Mr. Debabrata Ray ...for the petitioners Mr. Debjit Mukherjee Ms. Susmita Chatterjee ...for the Corporation The petitioners alleges that a statutory appeal before the Municipal Building Tribunal being BT Appeal No.40 of 2010 filed by the first petitioner is awaiting final order.

It has been submitted that the petitioners are aged about 90 and 68 respectively. The construction in question was made long back. The petitioners pray for early disposal of the aforementioned appeal.

The reason for pendency of the appeal before the Municipal Building Tribunal is not made known to the court. As it has been submitted that the petitioners are senior citizens and the appeal is pending disposal for nearly fourteen years, accordingly, the Tribunal is requested to take steps for conclusion of the appeal at the earliest but positively by April 30, 2024. The writ petition is thus disposed of.
