1. Heard learned lawyers for the parties.

2. We have considered the materials on record. Petitioner had absconded for five years. Trial has substantially progressed. Prosecution assures to complete trial within six months from the next date fixed for recording evidence subject to defence and systemic reasons.

3. Under such circumstances, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

4. Accordingly, prayer for bail is rejected.

5. Trial court is requested to conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible in light of the assurance given on behalf of the prosecution.
