And In Re : Md. Salauddin ..... petitioner Mr. Farooque Ali ... for the petitioner Mr. Neguive Ahmed, learned APP Ms. Trina Mitra Ms. Amita Gaur ... for the State Petitioner renews prayer for bail.

Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that considering the period of detention and considering the fact that in the previous order trial was directed to be concluded within one year and since trial is yet to be concluded, prayer for bail should be granted to the petitioner.

Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that there is hardly any change in the circumstances from the previous order of rejection. She submits that the ongoing pandemic prevented disposal of the trial.

Considering the fact that trial got affected due to the ongoing pandemic and considering the involvement of the petitioner in the incident as noted in the earlier order of rejection and considering the fact that there is hardly any change in the circumstances subsequent to the earlier order of rejection, we are unable to grant bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, prayer for bail is rejected and the application being CRM 5281 of 2021 is dismissed. (Debangsu Basak, J.) (Ananda Kumar Mukherjee, J.)
