Heard the learned Counsels appearing on behalf of the parties.

Petitioner was arrested in 2022 in connection with a criminal case registered in 2012. Statements of witnesses recorded during investigation disclose his complicity in the offence of the murder.

In view of the gravity of the offence and protracted abscondance of the petitioner, we are of the opinion that this is not a fit case to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected at this stage.
