This is an application under Article 226 of the Constitution of India with regard to inaction on the part of the respondent authorities to take steps with regard to written representations made on 31st January, 2020 and 21st October, 2022 by the petitioners.

Upon hearing learned Counsel for the parties, I direct the respondent no.3, the Director of Consumer Goods, Department of Food and Supplies, Government of West Bengal to grant an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners and thereafter pass a reasoned order on the representations made by the petitioners within six weeks from date. The reasoned order should be communicated

to the petitioners within a period of 10 days from the date of passing of such reasoned order.

With the above observations, this writ petition is disposed of.
