1. Learned senior counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner is a businessman and he is in no way connected with the alleged offence. It is falsely alleged that the petitioner and his men and agents had been extorting money from persons constructing the houses in the area.

2. Learned counsel appearing for the State relies on the case diary and opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail. He refers to the FIR, the statements of witnesses including the eye-witness to the part exchange of money and the other documents present in the case diary.

3. Considering the above and the other incriminating materials available in the case diary, I do not consider this to be a fit case to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail is rejected.
