It is further submitted he did not play the principal role in the assault.

Learned Additional Public Prosecutor opposes the prayer for bail.

We have considered the materials on record. Statements of witnesses show the petitioner and co-accused conjointly assaulted the victim resulting in his death. Post-mortem report supports the ocular version of the witnesses. Prayer for bail of co-accuseds has been turned down by coordinate Benches of this court. Under such circumstances, we are of the opinion this is not a fit case to grant bail to the petitioner at this stage.

The application for bail is thus rejected.
