Affidavit-of-service filed on behalf of the petitioners is taken on record.

Petitioners pray for direction upon the concerned police authority to take steps which would facilitate the petitioners to enjoy peaceful possession over the land in question.

However, learned advocate representing respondent nos.5 to 8 has disputed the case made out in this writ petition and claim is laid on the land in question by the private respondents.

Police authority is not the appropriate authority to decide inter se right of the parties over the land in question. 5.

If petitioners are owners of the land in question and their peaceful possession over the said land is disturbed at the instance of the private respondents, petitioners are required to approach Civil Court in pursuit of remedy. 6.

However, concerned police authorities are directed to maintain peace and tranquility at the locale and keep vigil.

Writ petition stands disposed of.
