In Re: WPA 12331 of 2026 Affidavit of service filed by the petitioner is taken on record.

The petitioner is a member of Sagarpara Gram Panchayat and has filed two representations before the concerned authority on 30th May, 2026. The first

representation seeks disqualification of the Pradhan on the ground of her absence in 3 consecutive meetings held in the Gram Panchayat despite receipt of notice of such meetings. The said representation is not pressed by the petitioner who seeks to file a fresh representation before the concerned authority in accordance with law. Such liberty is granted.

The second representation filed by the petitioner under Section 213B of the West Bengal Panchayat Act, 1973 requests legal action against the Pradhan/private respondent on several allegations thrust upon her. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that no step has been taken in respect of the said representation till date.

In view of the above, the Sub-Divisional Officer and prescribed authority, Domkal Sub-Division, being the 4th respondent herein, is directed to deal with the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 30th May, 2026 and take necessary steps in terms of Section 213B of the Act within four weeks from the date of communication of this order.

The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall, however, be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted.

Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
