Dictated by Arijit Banerjee, J.
In re : CRAN 1 of 2024 1.
The petitioner was granted bail by an order dated May 24, 2024, passed in CRM (DB) 1501 of 2024, inter alia, on the condition that he shall not enter the territorial jurisdiction of Tamluk Police Station, district Purba Medinipur till conclusion of trial unless such conditions have been relaxed by the Trial Court.
2.
The petitioner says that he approached the learned Trial Court for relaxation of the said condition since his residence is within the jurisdiction of Tamluk Police Station. The Trial Court has rejected such prayer. Hence, this application.
3.
We have heard learned counsel for the parties. Trial has not yet started. Nobody knows when the trial will
conclude. The charges are such that the evidence would largely be documentary in nature. Investigation is complete.
4.
We are inclined to allow the petitioner's prayer to permit him to enter the jurisdiction of Tamluk Police Station, provided he remains within the said jurisdiction and meets the Officer-in-Charge of the Tamluk Police Station once in a month until further orders. We order accordingly.
5.
The other conditions of bail shall remain unaltered. 6.
CRAN 1 of 2024 is disposed of.
7.
All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court. (Arijit Banerjee, J.) (Apurba Sinha Ray, J.)
