Sr. St. Counsel, Ms. Ipsita Banerjee ...for the State The petitioner complains of laxity on the part of the Investigating Officer in Belur Police Station Case No. 132 of 2021 dated 17.06.2021 under Sections 498A/406/34 of the IPC. It is submitted that despite repeated requests, all 'Stridhan' articles including gold jewellery have not recovered from the Investigating Officer.

Counsel for the State submits that all 'Stridhan' articles except gold jewellery have been recovered and handed over to the petitioner. Charge sheet being No. 237 of 2021 dated October 31, 2021 has also been filed.

Section 406 of the IPC has been included in the charge sheet against the accused person. The petitioner shall however be at liberty to apply afresh before the Sessions Court for recovery of jewellery from the accused person.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition shall stand disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.
