Learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are unnecessarily detained in custody for 1 year 8 days and there is no progress in the trial of the case, as such, on any stringent conditions the petitioners may be released on bail. Learned advocate for the State, on the other hand, opposes the prayer for bail and submits that 78.02 kgs. of Cannabis were recovered from a vehicle and both the petitioners were jointly involved in the alleged offence.

Be that as it may, since commercial quantity of contraband has been recovered, the prayer for bail of the petitioners in CRM(NDPS)657 of 2025 is dismissed.

State would take steps for expediting the progress of the trial.
