1. Petitioner before us is the engineer who was responsible to oversee a road project.

2. The materials in the case diary suggest that the petitioner, in complete dereliction of his duties, allowed bills of the contractor despite the work being of substandard quality.

3. Considering such materials in the case diary, we are unable to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.

5. C.R.M. (A) 1642 of 2024 is dismissed.
