On behalf of the CESC Limited it is submitted that the petitioner is already enjoying an electricity connection in the name of his father i.e. Late Dhananjay Naskar and this is a case of splitting of load.

It is submitted on behalf of the parties that the disputes in this writ petition relates to the splitting of load and the matter to be referred to the concerned Grievance Redressal Officer.

In view of the above, WPA 12411 of 2026 stands disposed of by directing the concerned GRO having jurisdiction to dispose of the claim of the petitioner for a new electrical connection in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the communication of this order.

It is made clear that there is no expression on the merits of the case and all issues are left open for the concerned GRO to decide in accordance with law.
