1. The application for contempt of an order of August 21, 2017, seems to have lost all force presently.

2. The aforesaid order directed that the application made by the petitioners ventilating their grievance would be considered by the respondent No. 6, in that writ petition being WP 30431(w) of 2016, within a period of eight weeks from the date of submission of such application.

3. The petitioner submits that the hearing was given and an order was made on November 20, 2017, by which the contemnors herein had come to certain findings regarding derequisition and compensation to the petitioners.

4. In this limited jurisdiction of contempt, the Court does not exercise any appellate authority, the order passed by the authority is not impugned as the question of the correctness of the order cannot be impugned herein.

5. The contemnors in terms of the order of August 20, 2017 had given hearing to the petitioners and passed a reasoned order. The order of August 20, 2017 is, thus, clearly complied.

6. The charges in the contempt application being CPAN 571 of 2018 are dropped and the contempt application is dismissed.

7. There shall be no order as to costs.

8. The petitioners are at liberty to pursue remedies that they may be advised, in accordance with law.

9. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the learned Advocates for the parties on the usual undertakings.
