For the alleged contemnor The petitioner complains of violation of the direction passed in the order dated 29th September, 2021. By the said order, direction was passed upon the Registrar of the University to take steps within four months from the date of communication of the order. The order of this Court was communicated to the Registrar by a communicating letter dated 9th January, 2023.

The conduct of the petitioner in proceeding with the contempt application does not appeal to the Court. It appears that the petitioner did not take any steps for communicating the order which he seeks compliance of within a reasonable time. The order of the Court was communicated long after the same was passed.

The Court is not inclined to exercise jurisdiction in the instant contempt application. The same fails and is hereby dismissed.

The parties will be at liberty to take appropriate steps before the competent forum for redressal of their grievances, if so advised.

In view of the dismissal of the contempt application, the connected application being CAN 2 of 2023 stands disposed of.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
