The only prayer of the petitioner is for steps to be taken by the concerned respondents in terms of a communication issued by the District Registrar, Purba Medinipur to the Joint Commissioner of Stamp Revenue, West Bengal on 04.06.2018. The said letter recommends the petitioner as the most suitable candidate for transfer from Egra PS to Khejuri PS . Admittedly, no steps have been taken by the respondents after the said letter was issued.

The State is represented.

WPA 11508 of 2022 is disposed of with a direction on the respondent no. 3, being the Inspector General of Registration and

Commissioner of Stamp Revenue, to act in terms of the recommendation dated 04.06.2018 within a period of two weeks from today. The Respondent no. 3 shall thereafter forward the proposal to the Secretary, Law Department of the State within a further period of two weeks. The transfer of the petitioner shall be made effective within an outer limit of seven weeks from today.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on usual undertakings.
