1. Affidavit of service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record.

2. Petitioner is the mother of respondent no. 7 has approached this Court with the present writ petition seeking direction upon the concerned police authorities to take steps which would enable the petitioner to stay at her own residence. It is submitted that petitioner is being tortured by her son and daughter-in-law being respondent nos. 7 and 8 prompting the petitioner to file complaints against them. However, it is submitted on behalf of petitioner that taking note of the complaints lodged criminal prosecutions were initiated by registering FIRs.

3. To that extent facts are disclosed on behalf of State respondents by filing a communication dated 22nd June, 2026 by Officer-in-Charge, Khardah Police Station and same is taken on record. Copies of the communication dated 22nd June, 2026 are made over to the learned advocates representing petitioner and respondent no. 9.

4. Since a case is made out that petitioner is willing to stay at her own residence peacefully without being disturbed by her son and daughter-in-law, concerned authority of Khardah Police Station is directed to provide protection to the petitioner for a period of 30 days from date within which petitioner shall be at liberty to initiate proceedings under relevant provisions of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 before the jurisdictional authority.

5. Writ petition stands disposed of.

6. Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings.
