Despite service, none appears for the private respondents.

The limited grievance of the petitioner is that, despite the petitioner having raised objection to a new electricity connection being given to the private respondents, such electricity line has not been shifted from its present location adjacent to the petitioner's premises.

Learned counsel appearing for the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) submits that, in principle, the Distribution Licensee has no issue in considering the objection and to explore the possibility of

shifting such existing electricity line of the private respondents to some alternative route, subject to hearing of all concerned.

Accordingly, WPA 11908 of 2022 is disposed of by directing the WBSEDCL to consider the objection of the petitioner, which is appearing at page 16 (Annexure- P3) of the present writ petition, upon giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, the private respondents and all other concerned, if any, in accordance with law and to decide the same as expeditiously as possible, preferably within six weeks from date.

In the event the WBSEDCL comes to the conclusion that such shifting is feasible otherwise, subject to the adequate expenses for shifting being borne by the concerned party in accordance with law, the WBSEDCL shall shift the line as expeditiously thereafter as possible. There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
