The petitioner seeks restoration of electricity supply, which was disconnected by the CESC Limited, on the ground of pilferage.

However, it is seen that a final order of assessment was made on January 16, 2020, which has not been challenged before the appellate authority.

Since the law provides that, in order to prefer an appeal, that too within the limitation period, fifty per cent of the dues are to be deposited and for getting restoration of connection, the entire dues have to be deposited within the stipulated time, neither of which has been complied with by the petitioner, there is no scope of interfering in the present writ petition.

Accordingly, WPA No. 11559 of 2022 is dismissed without any order as to costs.
