The grievance of the petitioner is that the complaint lodged by him was not acted upon by the police authority. It appears from the report submitted by the State that on receipt of the complaint, Baguihati Police Station found that the place of occurrence pertaining to the complaint was under jurisdiction of Dumdum Police Station under Barrackpore Police Commissionerate. A Zero FIR registered and the matter was transferred to Barrackpore Police Commissionerate for necessary action. Learned counsel for the 4th respondent submits that the 4th respondent has been granted bail in connection with the said complaint.

In view of the above, this Court is inclined to hold that the grievance of the petitioner has been redressed and nothing further remains to be adjudicated in the present application.

The concerned authority is directed to conduct the investigation in a fair, unbiased and impartial manner and take the same to its logical conclusion in accordance with law.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. There shall, however, be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted.
