Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the private respondents have been carrying out illegal business of narcotics and country liquor and in spite of repeatedly informing the police authorities particularly Rajapur Police Station, Howrah, no steps have been taken against them. On the other hand, the petitioner has been foisted with false criminal cases.

Learned advocate for the State has submitted a report. Report reflects that on receipt of repeated informations from the petitioner, searches were carried out at the house of the private respondents. However, no suspicious object or illegal addictive

substance could be found anywhere and to that effect the report encloses the General Diary Entries in respect of which the police authorities took action. It has also been contended in the report that a case has been registered being Rajapur PS Case No. 112 of 2024 dated 09.04.2024 against the present petitioner wherein, after investigation charge sheet has also been submitted before the jurisdictional court. Learned advocate for the respondent no. 7 submits that prima facie the involvement of the Narcotic Control Bureau in this offence has not come as they are yet to receive any specific complaint from any sources.

Since the police authorities have acted on the representation of the petitioner, I do not find any scope for interference so far as the accusations made in the writ petition is concerned.

In view of the aforesaid WPA 13230 of 2024 is disposed of.

Report so submitted be kept with the record.
