Essentially petitioner seeks water supply from the private respondents.

Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that there are number of criminal complaints as against the petitioner and the private respondents which the police investigated and submitted charge-sheets. Apparently, there are long standing disputes between the private parties. Water connectivity is one of such disputes.

The private parties are at liberty to ventilate their grievances before the appropriate forum in accordance with law so far as civil disputes are concerned. A writ court need not enter into that arena.

As the police on investigating the complaints submitted charge-sheets and the disputes between the private parties are civil in nature, further interference is not called for.

WPA 12826 of 2021 is disposed of accordingly. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties on usual undertakings. (Debangsu Basak, J.)
