By such order, noticing that the State already invoked the provisions of Section 10(2) of the West Bengal State Highways Act, 1964, the State authorities were directed to complete such proceedings as expeditiously as possible and in accordance with law. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that since the order dated July 22, 2019, the State authorities did not take any step in the proceeding under the Act of 1964.

None appears for the alleged contemnors.

Under such circumstances, it would be appropriate to direct the petitioner to serve a copy of the contempt application upon the alleged contemnors and file an affidavit of service to such effect on the next date.

Since Mr. Sushovan Sengupta and Mr. Manas Kumar Sadhu appeared on behalf of the State in the writ petition in which the order dated July 22, 2019 was passed, learned advocate for the petitioner is

requested to communicate this order upon such learned advocate for the State.

List the contempt application on December 17, 2020 for further consideration.
