An order has been passed by the Chairman, Katwa Municipality on February 27, 2018 recommending payment of some money to the petitioner.

The contempt application has been filed on the ground that the recommendation has not been made in compliance with the order of this Court. The Chairman of the Municipality forwarded the calculation to the Director of Local Bodies by a memo dated February 27, 2018. According to Mr. Ray, learned advocate for the petitioner, the Municipality has violated the order of this Court by forwarding the recommendation to the Director of Local Bodies instead of recommending the same to the Director of Pension Provident Fund and Group Insurance, Government of West Bengal.

The Municipality is directed to forward this calculation to the Director of Pension Provident Fund and

Group Insurance, Government of West Bengal for further compliance.

Let this matter appear two weeks after ensuing Puja Vacation.
