(Via Video Conference) Md. Kutubuddin ..... for the petitioner Mr. Jayanta Basu ..... for the WBSEDCL The petitioner seeks new electricity connection. Learned advocate appearing for the distribution company submits that there are outstandings in excess of Rs.77,000/- on account of other connections enjoyed by the relatives of the petitioner. Wholly without prejudice to the rights and contentions of the parties, it would be open to the petitioner to deposit the amount of outstandings in respect of the two meters which the distribution company speaks on account of the relatives of the petitioner. Upon such deposit being made and the petitioner complying with all requisites and paying necessary costs charges and expenses, the distribution company shall provide new electricity connection within seven days from the date of the payment. In the event the distribution company

faces any obstruction they will obtain necessary police protection.

Police is directed to render adequate police protection to provide electricity supply to the petitioner.

The writ application being WPA 12984 of 2021 is disposed of.
